President Trump Reaches Out to Democrats to Help with Obamacare Deal After GOP Fails to Repeal

- Oktober 07, 2017

On Saturday President Trump signaled he reached out to Democrat leader Chuck Schumer to see if Democrats want to help shape a healthcare deal.

This comes after Republican leaders, with majorities in both the House and senate, failed to repeal and replace Obamacare and bring relief to the millions of working Americans who are suffering under the Democratic law.

Democrats lied to Americans in passing the law saying premiums would go down and families would save money with their plan. They knew this was a lie but passed it anyway.

Unfortunately, Republicans failed to help working class Americans and repeal this law.

The New York Post reported:

President Trump confirmed Saturday that he’s made fresh overtures to Senate Democrats in hope of reaching a health care deal.

“I called [Senate minority leader] Chuck Schumer yesterday to see if the Dems want to do a great HealthCare Bill,” Trump tweeted at 8:17 am. “ObamaCare is badly broken, big premiums. Who knows!”

The president’s call signaled his impatience with the gridlocked GOP majorities in Congress, which have failed in multiple attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act this year.

“It shows the President can move without hesitation or ideological impediment to make a deal with the Dems,” a Republican source told Axios.
