Muslim Leaders Condemn President Trump for Tweeting Video of Violent Muslim Acts… But Not the Violent Muslim Acts

- November 30, 2017

As reported earlier President Trump set off a firestorm for retweeting three videos showing violent Muslim acts. The videos were first posted by Britain First’s Jayda Fransen.

The videos included a bearded Muslim destroying a Mary statue, Muslim radicals killing a child during the Egyptian ‘Arab Spring’ riots, and a Danish boy on crutches being violently attacked by a Muslim migrant teen.

In case you missed them, here they are.

On Wednesday an Islamic group Muslim Advocates condemned President Trump for retweeting the videos.

But they ignored on the violent actions by the Muslims depicted in the videos.

The following is a statement from Farhana Khera, Executive Director of Muslim Advocates, regarding President Donald Trump’s tweeting of a graphic and virulently anti-Muslim propaganda from a British far-right group:

President Trump has made demonizing our community and an entire religion a centerpiece of his presidency. He’s rolled back our rights, embraced hate groups, and incited bigotry throughout his first year in office. The result: a country that’s less safe for all of us, and American Muslims in particular.

This morning’s tweets of virulently anti-Muslim, incendiary, and graphic propaganda are no surprise, they are more links in the chain, but that doesn’t make them any less shocking, reckless or wrong.

As he attacks our community, we can and will expect others to follow his lead, with sometimes deadly consequences. Hate crimes motivated by anti-Muslim bias are at all-time high, and the president’s words and actions further inflame this violence. Mosques have been burned and bombed, children are bullied, homes are vandalized, and people are attacked.

Our country deserves better.

The silver lining to this very dark cloud is that Americans of all backgrounds are standing up for dignity and equality and are waking up to just how much our way of life is under attack by this president. Our country was founded on religious freedom and equality under the law. All Americans must continue to fight to ensure these values are upheld.
