The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office reported that a shooting took place today at an elementary school in Rancho Tehama around 8:00 am pst that ended with three dead.
Police cannot confirm whether or not children are among the dead, but according to KHSL, three children are confirmed to have been taken to the hospital by ground transportation, with one adult being airlifted to medical centers via helicopter.
According to WCVB, a 6-year-old and one other child were injured. The Redding Record Searchlight reported that a 30-year-old man has also been taken to the hospital with gunshot wound to the thigh.
According to police, the shooter began with a shooting at a home and then moved on to the school where the shooter has been killed by responding officers.

According to KHSL reporter Sara Stinson, 100 officers have responded and are investigating five different crime scenes where the shooter had opened fire.
