On Monday night President Trump cancelled the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles visit to the White House on Tuesday.
The president cancelled the visit after most players on the team decided not to attend the event.
The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!

On Tuesday morning President Trump continued his attack on the kneeler league —“No escaping to the locker rooms!”

And President Trump reminded Americans that numerous championship teams have attended the White House following their wins.

WH official tells me — last Thurs, the Eagles submitted 70+ names to attend. On Fri, Eagles tried to resked event for days when POTUS was gonna be in Singapore. On Mon, they said the group avail on pre-planned date wld be TWO or THREE players + owner + MASCOT.
