The country of Iran has been hit by a collapse in currency, economic mismanagement by the brutal regime, and impending U.S. sanctions. In the past week several shopkeepers joined the economic protests in the street.
This is the latest round of protests in Iran. There was a mass uprising in January followed by uprising in April-May that saw 1,545 protests.
The Iranian regime sent in the Revolutionary Guards at one point to put down the protesters.
Iran regime sends in a Revolutionary Guards unit to put down today's #IranProtests in Tehran. @realDonaldTrump was right to blacklist the IRGC. Will the EU halt all trade with this repressive force?

But the Iranian protesters fought back.
At one point the protesters chased the police off their bikes and down the street.
Then they torched their bikes.
