The White House press office walked reporters by a portrait of defeated 2016 Democrat presidential nominee former First Lady Hillary Clinton as they were escorted to the East Room for President Donald Trump’s announcement Monday night of his second Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The Daily Caller’s Benny Johnson posted photos to Twitter with a confirmation of intent from Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley, “In a troll of deeply epic proportions White House staff just walked all reporters & journalists covering the SCOTUS pick by the dumpster & a portrait of Hillary Clinton. When I asked @hogangidley45 if that was on purpose he said “absoloutely.”

Special credentials tonight and a strict check to ensure each journalist entering has one. Jon Decker of @FoxNews Radio says last time there he saw such a procedure was for the visit to the @WhiteHouse by the @Cubs. pic.twitter.com/xQKPPuD4tv
