Facebook Unblocks California Republican’s Ad — But Elizabeth Heng Still Wants an Apology

- Agustus 08, 2018

Elizabeth Heng is running for Congress in California’s 16th Congressional District as a Republican.

Elizabeth was raised in Fresno where her family instilled a strong work ethic. As a child, she worked at her parent’s Asian grocery store. She attended public school and was class Valedictorian at Sunnyside High School in Fresno.

This week Elizabeth Heng posted a video describing scenes of horrific events her parents went through in Cambodia.
Her parents escaped the Communist regime in Cambodia to resettle in California.

THIS VIDEO IS PHENOMENAL! YOU MUST TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH IT—

Facebook rejected Elizabeth’s video because it was “too shocking.”

History is TOO CONTROVERSIAL for Facebook.

Elizabeth is a Republican.

THIS ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN TO REPUBLICANS FOR SOME STRANGE REASON?

Well after the national outcry against the biased social media platform Facebook unblocked Heng’s video.

But Republican Elizabeth Heng also wants an apology.
Legal Insurrection reported:

Facebook lifted Tuesday its block on Republican Elizabeth Heng’s campaign ad, but the California congressional candidate said the company still owes her a public apology.

“I’m deeply disappointed that Facebook would not give me a public apology for targeting a conservative candidate for Congress,” she said in a statement. “It took them 5 days and an immense amount of pressure before they ‘realized’ that they deliberately blocked my history and my story.”

…After a deluge of criticism on the right, a Facebook spokesperson said Tuesday that the ad had been cleared for distribution.

“Upon further review, it is clear the video contains historical imagery relevant to the candidate’s story,” said Facebook in an email to the Washington Times. “We have since approved the ad and it is now running on Facebook.”
