A grassroots movement is forming among supporters of President Donald Trump to stop big tech companies from censoring legal speech.
Using the hashtag #ProtectDigitalSpeech, concerned citizens are demanding that the power to block lawful content should be left to individual users instead of Mark Zuckerberg or Jack Dorsey.
A White House petition started by political commentator and lawyer Will Chamberlain is specifically requesting that Congress pass legislation prohibiting social media platforms from banning users for First Amendment-protected speech.
Jack Dorsey and Marc Zuckerberg have the power to remove you from the public square.
That needs to end – and Trump knows it.
The administration needs to see that #MAGA has their back.

“The internet is the modern public square. It is where political campaigns are fought and won, where journalism is created and distributed, and where grassroots movements are born. Yet, the free and open internet has become a controlled, censored space, monopolized by a few unaccountable corporations,” Chamberlain’s petition reads.

As Twitter and Facebook have become the new public square, people’s voices are being shut down in what is essentially a hecklers veto organized by mainstream media giants like CNN who spend significant amounts of money on advertising — and therefore have big influence over the platforms.
Conservative voices and outlets are being removed at a rapid pace and will most definitely have an impact on future elections if free and legal speech is not protected.
