On Monday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was at the West Indian Carnival, a Labor Day parade in Brooklyn, New York when he told the crowd the sooner Trump is impeached, the better.
‘The sooner, the better’ Schumer said to someone in the crowd who asked when the Dems are gonna impeach Trump.
MAN (off camera): “When y’all gonna impeach Trump?”
SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER: “Sooner the better.”
MAN: “‘Sooner the better?’ That’s not answering the question.”
SCHUMER: “Gotta get a few Republicans [inaudible].
WOMAN (off camera): “We’re trying. We’re voting.”
SCHUMER: “We’re Democrats. We’re on your side.”
WOMAN: “So am I.
Someone needs to tell Chuck Schumer that President Trump cannot be impeached simply because they don’t like him.
Pelosi previously pushed back on impeachment talk, saying it should not be a priority for Democrats.
