In Light of Kavanaugh, Nut on MSNBC Predicts a Possible ‘Thousand-Year Reich’

- Oktober 09, 2018

Why?

Why??

Why must the Left be so insane?

Seriously, why????

How about just say things that are reasonable? How about propose stuff that’s based in some sort of reality, with some semblance of perspective?

How about just try it????

Or, just keep being like Elie Mystal.

The Above the Law editor dropped by MSNBC to wax philosophic about the effect of Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation.

What might he have said?

It’s good? It’s bad?

Nope.

🙁

Instead, Elie called the President a racist “devil,” then he said Kavanaugh’s placement could allow for a “thousand-year Reich.”

Yes — it was that stupid.

A thousand years.

Of a Reich.

Did MSNBC ask him why he’s crazy? Guess.

Leading up to the comment, the program’s panel managed to label the Republican Party as anti-woman Nazis.

So that was nice.

Then…well, tell ’em, Mystal:

“The thing about making a deal with the devil is that the devil backs up his bargain. The devil does not welch.”

And on top of that:

“Trump has delivered for these people on the things that they care about most; he has delivered racism for these people. He has delivered misogyny for these people, and now he’s delivered the Supreme Court for these people, which is something they’ve been trying to get for a generation.”

Therefore, “these people” — meaning you…and, you may note, the suggestion is, not the audience of MSNBC, which is to say, Mystal just assumes no Republican or conservative would be watching MSNBC…

“So then the question now becomes, not so much like, ‘Oh, will this stick for the Republicans?’ I think it will stick for the Republicans; this is what they want. The question is, what are the Democrats going to do? Democratic turnout doesn’t need to be high for a midterm; it needs to be high for a presidential election. And that’s what we’re about to see. We’re going to see if this reign that they now have control over all three branches of government, we’re going to see if this reign lasts for thirty days, or two years, or a thousand-year Reich. Because that is how, that is what these people have set themselves up for. And it’s simply a question of whether or not the Democrats are going to join the battle and meet them at the polls.”

Can you remember the last time someone predicted a Reich?

A Nazi empire, folks. That’s what your friends and mine — who watch MSNBC — were taught Kavanaugh’s confirmation means. By Elie Mystal. And the network whose slogan is “This is Who We Are.”

The incident doesn’t exactly go against my claim of rampant immaturity on the left side of the political aisle (see here).

This kind of talk is nothing new for MSNBC — in the recent past, they’ve otherwise compared Trump to Hitler (here) and Stalin (here), compared Kavanaugh to Cosby (here), called Trump women “dead inside” (here), claimed the President wants to round up and murder people (here), and insisted that you don’t live in reality (here).

Please check out all of the above, which serve as a giant leftist Heil Goofiness. Hopefully that mantra will last less than a thousand years. And if we’re lucky, it’s obvious absurdity will bring another four-year reign of a conservative presidency in 2020, preceded by a GOP-favored midterm.
