Dem Sen. Bill Nelson, Republican Rick Scott
The Florida Senate race between corrupt incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson and Republican Governor Rick Scott headed to a hand recount Thursday evening.
The Florida recount ended at 3 PM Thursday afternoon.
Florida elections officials announced the results from their first machine recount Thursday in the race for US Senate.
Governor Rick Scott increased his lead over Senator Bill Nelson by 865 votes after the first recount, but a hand recount was triggered since Nelson and Scott were only separated by 0.15 percent points.
The Democrats are going to fight to the bitter end.
The Hill reported:
The Florida Senate race between Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) and Gov. Rick Scott (R) is heading to a hand recount after the latest round of machine tallies showed the two candidates still neck and neck.
Nelson and Scott were separated by a margin of about 0.15 percentage points, according to results of a machine recount released Thursday – a narrow enough margin to trigger a hand recount under state law.
The hand recount must be completed by Sunday, in time for a Nov. 20 deadline for state officials to certify the final election results.
The race for Agricultural Commissioner is also heading to a hand recount after the Dems flipped that seat post election.
The first recount in the gubernatorial race showed Republican Ron DeSantis over the threshold of a hand recount and ahead of Democrat crook Andrew Gillum, however; Gillum is refusing to concede, reported The Hill.
