CNN Accuses Sarah Sanders of Posting Doctored Video of Jim Acosta Assaulting Female Intern at Pres. Trump Press Conf.

- November 08, 2018

CNN is accusing White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders of posting a doctored video clip of CNN reporter Jim Acosta assaulting a female White House intern at President Donald Trump’s press conference Wednesday. CNN Vice President for Communications Matt Dornic wrote on Twitter to Sanders, “You manipulated this video. The lies never end.”

Acosta was suspended from covering the White House Wednesday evening by Sanders over the assault.

Images show Acosta hacking the intern’s arm with enough force to push her arm down and knock her off balance.

Sanders later posted a video clip with zoom images of Acosta hacking the arm of a young female White House intern as she tried to take the microphone from Acosta to pass on to another reporter. Acosta hit the woman with enough force to briefly knock her off balance.

Video posted by Sanders:

Dornic’s accusatory response.

CNN’s Brian Stelter accused Sanders of using an Infowars video clip, “Question for : Where’d you obtain the distorted video you posted? InfoWars personality posted the same video two hours before you did. Surely you don’t trust InfoWars…?”

Stelter also retweeted an accusation that Sanders posted a doctored video, “This video is doctored. It’s slowed down and then sped up at the moment Acosta’s hand comes down to make it look like he’s doing a karate chop or something. This is shameful propaganda. It’s Orwellian.”

Speaking of Orwellian, CNN’s Khalil Abdallah posted images he took of the incident to defend Acosta, but did not include images of Acosta’s karate type chop of the intern’s arm.

Yossi Gestetner posted a close up video clip to refute Abdallah. In the Gestetner video one can see Acosta hack the intern’s arm with enough force to push her arm down and knock her off balance.

Longer view:

If this was a basketball game and the intern was a referee trying to get the ball from Acosta, Acosta would have been ejected on a technical foul for assaulting the ref.
