As the nation moves on from the midterms to looking ahead to the 2020 presidential race, a new poll found that “none of the above” is topping the list of potential Democrat candidates.
A Hill.TV American Barometer poll of 680 registered voters found that 30% of the sample prefers “none of the above” when asked to choose from former Vice President Joe Biden, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, California Sen. Kamala Harris, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Biden came in second with 25 percent — followed by 18 percent hoping for Sanders.
“Twelve percent of the independents and Democrats surveyed picked Clinton, Sanders’s one-time presidential rival, who signaled a willingness to run again, saying in an October interviewer that she would still ‘like to be president,'” The Hill reports.
Harris, Bloomberg and Warren each only had four percent support.
The 2020 playing field is expected to be extraordinarily crowded for the Democrats — which will likely work in the president’s favor as he seeks a second term.
