President Trump threatened to permanently close the southern border on Monday morning after hundreds of Hondurans stormed the San Ysidro port of entry Sunday.
The US pushed back the Honduran horde by deploying tear gas and pepper balls.
CBP temporarily closed the San Ysidro vehicle lanes and the pedestrian crossing Sunday, however, President Trump is now threatening to permanently close down the largest land border crossing in the world.

US military helicopters were called in after hundreds of Honduran migrants pushed past Mexican riot police and tried to storm the US border at the San Ysidro port of entry.
The footage of the Hondurans storming the US border is frightening. The invaders are seen waving Honduran flags as they ran towards the border fence.

The Customs and Border Protection confirmed Sunday evening that US Border Patrol Agents were hit with projectiles thrown by the violent Hondurans.
Mexico is reportedly deporting about 500 Honduran migrants after they illegally and violently tried to storm the US border.
