A Marginal Belief In You Santa
Now before you go off on the headline it was meant to be funny. Show a lil CHIRSTmas humor, would you?
As I wrote here yesterday at Red State, it seems the government shutdown was not affecting NORAD in its mission protecting the U.S. & Canadian airspace. What Government Shutdown? NORAD Still Tracking Santa.
In what has become a tradition since the 1950’s the North American Aerospace Defense Command not only tracks Santa via radar but also takes calls from children wondering where the jolly fat man is on his travels. President Trump and first lady Melania Trump joined in on answering some of the kid’s phones call into the center.
That’s where it gets funny.
During a phone call with a 7 yr old POTUS 45 when finding out the age asked if they still believed in Santa. According to Detroit Free Press…
“Are you still a believer in Santa?” Trump said to a child calling in to the federal government’s official “Santa Tracker,” run by the North American Aerospace Defense Command. “Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?” Trump said.

Two years into his presidency anyone who has been watching Trump closely know that he shoots from the hip in casual conversation. This was a funny remark ( to me anyway) and I know some people will not take it like that.
Namely, people who don’t like Trump.
Criticism of his pulling out of Syria or his attacks on the Fed chairman are solid debates to have. I’m curious how bad he will get dinged for this.
Mostly because we all know that Santa is REAl.
Duh.
