Covering the connection of DC politics and Hollywood entertainment as they contribute to our culture.
The great Christmas movie debate continues, unebbing, and Sarah & Brad reach a conclusion: They disagree vehemently. Beyond that holiday loggerhead they discussed the lighter issues and stories, going for more of a buoyant, holiday-based tone.
THIS WEEK’S THEME: “Christmas In Hollis” — Run D.M.C.
- The “Die Hard” Christmas-movie debate came to a boil. Brad came strong with hard evidence, statistical data, and empirical testimony from members of the production team. Sarah dismissed all that with “nuh-uh”.
- TV Guide celebrated the Holiday by honoring famous actors named “Chris”. Chris Pratt was celebrated by being explained to be a problematic performer for “controversial” personal lifestyle choices.
- Julia Ioffe went to great lengths to explain that being wished “Merry Christmas” was problematic.
Then we discussed a slew of other films
Sarah and Brad want to wish everyone the happiest of Holidays!! (Except for Julia Ioffe, because we do not want to offend her!)
