HERE WE GO: House Dems Ignore Veto Threat, Pass Bill to End Shutdown Without Border Wall Funding

- Januari 04, 2019

The Democrats weren’t quite done showboating Thursday night and passed a bill to reopen the government.

In a 241-190 vote, the House passed a combined bill to re-open most shuttered parts of the government and it also excluded border wall funding.

7 Republicans joined the Democrats and voted ‘yea,’ according to Fox News’ Chad Pergram.

Here is the list of Republicans who voted yes: Fitzpatrick-PA, Hurd-TX, Katko-NY, King-NY, Stefanik-NY, Upton-MI and Walden-OR.

The measure puts together six of the seven unresolved appropriations bill in one package, reported Fox News Congress reporter Chad Pergram.

Of course this is a complete waste of time because Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has repeatedly stated he will not bring a Democrat bill to the Senate floor that the President will not sign.

President Trump is holding his ground and refuses to sign any bills from Congress that do not include border wall funding.

It looks like the partial government shutdown won’t be ending any time soon.
