CNN falsely labeled Virginia Governor Ralph Northam as a Republican amid the blackface controversy.
While CNN’s reporters act as hall monitors for the internet, constantly looking for excuses to attack right-wing media, they pull shady moves like this.

Northam — a Democrat — is currently under fire over an old medical school yearbook that featured a photo of a person in blackface and a person dressed like a member of the KKK. One of the people in the photo is the Virginia Governor.
Republicans, Democrats and even the NAACP have all called for Northam to resign.
The Democratic governor said in a statement that he apologizes for appearing in the costume, but signaled that he would not be stepping down.

Northam, who recently advocated for infanticide, was also nicknamed “Coonman,” according to another yearbook.

Whether CNN’s blunder was an innocent mistake or a nefarious attempt to mislead the public, one thing is for sure — if a right-wing outlet had made a similar error, their activist reporters would never let them live it down.
