WATCH: SNL Mocks Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s Harsh Meeting With School Children in Unaired Sketch

- Maret 04, 2019

Saturday Night Live spoofed the viral clip of Sen. Dianne Feinstein smacking down a bunch of school children in an unaired clip.

The roast of Feinstein meeting with the young Green New Deal activists was reportedly cut due to time constraints in the episode.

In the clip, Cecily Strong portrays an insensitive Feinstein openly mocking the children.

“I don’t come into your first-grade classroom and knock the Elmer’s glue out of your mouth, do I?” Strong asks the kids. “So why don’t you stay in your lane and step the f— off.”

While there are lots of reasons to to make fun of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Green New Deal, Feinstein was widely criticized for being too harsh with the children.

“You know what’s interesting about this group is that I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I know what I’m doing,” Feinstein told the kids in the original viral video. “You come in here and you say, ‘it has to be my way or the highway.’ I don’t respond to that.”

“I’ve gotten elected, I just ran,” she added. “I was elected by almost a million-vote plurality. And I know what I’m doing. So you know, maybe people should listen a little bit.”

When one of the children told Senator Feinstein that they are the ones who voted for her, the Senator coldly responded by asking her age — and then saying that she didn’t vote.
