The much maligned Deputy AG is resigning and apparently for real this time, unlike the other dozen times he was supposedly being fired or resigning.
Rod Rosenstein officially turned in his letter of resignation to President Trump this afternoon.

This closes yet another chapter in what’s been an incredibly chaotic period at the DOJ, mostly due to their own behavior. This probably won’t be the last we hear from Rosenstein though as he is likely to feature prominently in the IG’s report on malfeasance regarding the Trump-Russia investigation.
