House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) said Friday that the House Democrats may begin fining Trump and his officials $25,000 a day until they comply with subpoenas.
Adam Schiff actually said he loves the visual of throwing Trump officials in jail, but he would rather enforce his tyranny with large fines by using “inherent contempt” power.
Schiff told Mike Allen of Axios:
“Much as I like the visual of [throwing people in jail], I think it’s far more practical to consider levying individual fines on the person — not the office — until they comply. You could fine someone $25,000 a day until they comply. You can do that. We’re looking through the history and studying the law to make sure we’re on solid ground.”
Schiff also said Friday that it was a mistake Mueller did not subpoena President Trump because he believes there is plenty of evidence that Trump obstructed justice.
Attorney General Bill Barr clearly stated that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin during the 2016 election and he also concluded Trump did not obstruct justice.
The House Democrats are going crazy and subpoenas are flying.
The Dems subpoenaed Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and the IRS Chief Rettig on Friday along with the last 6 years of Trump’s personal and business tax returns.
In the other chamber, the GOP-led Senate Intel Panel, chaired by RINO Richard Burr, subpoenaed Donald Trump Jr. over ‘Russia matters.’
This isn’t oversight — this is abuse and harassment of Trump and his family.
