When a young person attempts to lead a revolution by shouting “No more!” their proclamation is sometimes a sign of ignorance.
That is, they either:
1) Don’t have an understanding of just how long the problem at hand has been a problem
2) Don’t have an understanding of how difficult it would be to fix the problem, hence the long time it’s been a problem
Example: the Parkland high school teens.
The media, it seems to me, used stunned, naive adolescents as pawns to advance their agenda. At the end of the news cycle, the kids were unceremoniously dumped.
But during those 11 seconds of use, young, inexperienced juveniles were convinced there was an issue nobody’d really noticed before, that they’d had the eagle eyes to spot, and it was one they would rise to and defeat once and for all.
While they were naively chanting “No more!” another mass shooting occurred. Then another. And another. And they continue, through this presence cycle of OtherNews.
Because some problems are problems because they can’t be solved. Or, at least, not easily.
Cut to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who continues to take deep breaths and excel through syllables betraying a riveting lack of understanding.
And I continue to wonder: Why is she commenting so fervently on things about which she clearly doesn’t know? Who is standing behind her, whispering, “You magically know everything; just talk. It’ll all work out. I promise.”
But maybe they’re right.
On Monday night, at the first-ever Congressional Islamic iftar dinner, AOC made one of the dum…
…well, just check it out for yourself:
Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims the GOP is pitting “Jew” against “Muslim” in order to make sure no one gets their interests or rights advanced

“Right now there’s an effort — you know, the effort and the way [Republicans] try to oppose all progress in this country, is by pitting communities against one another that have never — and have no business being pitted against one another…”
I wanna repeat some of that:
She said Republicans try to pit communities against one another that have never been pitted against one another.
Here are her examples:
“Women against our LGBT community…”
Okay… That makes no sense, but okay…
Now buckle your seat belt. And I don’t mean just the lap belt. Go for a NASCAR-style restraint, if ya got it.
Here’s her second example of the communities Republicans are pitting against one another, that have never been against one another before:
“Jew against Muslim.”
She actually said that.
To quote Vox:
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s longest-running and most controversial conflicts.
After all, if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have this joke, from 1988:
Nevertheless, I suspect she’s gonna keep on yappin’. Stay tuned for more things to shoot your eyebrows past your hairline.
In the meantime, though, for the love of Pete, please refrain from pitting things against one another that’ve never been opposed before. You know — like light and dark, good and evil, Yosemite Sam and Bugs, push and pull, the Rebellion and the Empire, men and women, Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote, and Washington & a big fat lack of goofiness.
