Malloch: Is Amazon Banning Conservative Books?

- Mei 07, 2019

Ted Malloch, author of The Plot to Destroy Trump (paperback version now out)

Is Amazon banning books?

It appears they are on a literal book burning spree against ONLY conservative titles and those that favor Trump and/or his ideas and policies.

Amazon controls the publishing industry in an almost complete monopoly of the digital public square and now has the power to decide — what you get to read.

This is a complete infringement and denial of the First Amendment and restricts all our freedom.

It is an assault on the Bill of Rights.

It is nothing less than: Censorship.

These are principles long enshrined in American culture and politics, namely: freedom of speech and of the press.

Amazon itself admits to use what is called, “algo curation”. It uses rankings to shape decisions to buy. Recommendation engines inform the viewer driving them to purchase. These are optimised to illicit and force engagement. On Amazon this means $$$. The shaping of curation habits by various techniques is grounded in gaming and a level of fraud. Reviews are controlled some even manufactured to give desired algorithmic outcomes. The whole system is rigged and controlled by Amazon.

Amazon, and its politically leftist owner Jeff Bezos, who also bought the nation’s newspaper, The Washington Post, is attempting to dictate what all Americans read, buy, eat, and how they vote.

In the process he has become the world’s richest and most powerful person.

His monopoly is the real collusion.

There are, of course, according to scholars, serious legal reasons to limit certain publications and those standards have been spelled out very clearly over a long period of time.

A book can only be restricted “if a reasonable person would consider it prurient, in violation of contemporary community standards, and completely devoid of literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.”

Very few books reach this level—even salacious and extremely controversial ones, from Mein Kampf to The Communist Manifesto.

What do we do about this?

A source who has spoken to POTUS said: “He’s (Trump) wondered aloud if there may be any way to go after Amazon with antitrust or competition law.”

Trump’s deep-seated antipathy toward Amazon surfaced when he discussed tax policy and antitrust cases. The president allegedly would love to “clip CEO Jeff Bezos’ wings.” But he doesn’t have a specific plan to make that happen.

What colors Trump’s thinking?

His successful business friends tell him Amazon is destroying their businesses. His real estate buddies tell him — and he agrees — that Amazon is killing shopping malls and all brick-and-mortar retailers — from Mom & Pop stores to Main Street itself.

Bookstores themselves are almost gone—thanks to Amazon.

Trump has let it be known that he believes Amazon has gotten a “free ride from taxpayers“ as well as a cushy treatment from the U.S. Postal Service.

Axios’ reporter, Ina Fried noted: The Postal Service actually added delivery on Sunday in some cities because Amazon made it necessary.

Gigantic Amazon (market cap now over $1 trillion) does not pay its fair share of taxes and has used transfer pricing and tax loopholes as well as foreign domicile to skirt its full tax obligations.

Trump is clearly irate about and pays close attention to the Amazon founder’s ownership of The Washington Post, which the president views as Bezos’ political weapon.

Any content analysis of that newspaper shows how slanted it truly is.

Its’ anti-Trump rhetoric has geared phenomenally upward since Bezos took over control. See: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/washington-post/

It could better be called the “Anti-Trump Paper of Record.” And it is superb at creating Fake News.

My own experience with Amazon is but a case study. They suppress rankings, rig the algorithms and suppress sales, even if they don’t outright ban, a title they don’t like or agree with.

Their entire system is rigged.

This costs authors income and reputation, while favoring others.

The FBI did not want the public to see my book on The Plot to Destroy Trump when it came out.

That was because it was the first full account to present overwhelming evidence showing the coup to overthrow the duly elected president of the United States.

It was a Red November conspiracy, started as a CIA operation by John Brennan, with spying, surveillance, disinformation, active measures, a dirty dossier written by a British spy with unverified Russian contacts, and paid for by the DNC and Hillary Campaign, all fomented by the Deep State.

Read the book—it has ALL been born out.

But Amazon, working for and with the Deep State, did not want this story out or circulating, so it tried to squelch it.

It does it repeatedly to conservative titles and on topics they disagree with.

Is it time America stood up to the leftist globalist Bezos and his Amazon empire and its’ corrupt anti-democratic, increasingly totalitarian monopoly?

Yes.

Three things that we can do:

  1. Stop shopping on Amazon and drop your Prime account and all Amazon web services.
  2. Like Europe, which has levied fines of over $300 million and has an anti-trust case for $1.5 billion against Amazon, the US government should commence legal action against Amazon and its devious practices.
  3. Write your Senators and Representatives demanding hearings and action focused on Amazon and the tech tyranny. Tell them to Break It Up.
